PrivatBank, monobank and Other Banks: Why Times Differ

This is what no ranking shows. A card withdrawal casino processes a request the same way for everyone, but then the money goes through a banking gateway, and from that point the time no longer depends on the operator.

Withdrawal from a casino to a card works on the closed-loop principle: money goes back only to the card the deposit came from. This is not the operator’s whim but a financial monitoring requirement.

What follows from this:

• The card must be yours. Trying to withdraw to the account of a spouse, a friend or a relative is direct grounds for blocking the payout and the account.
• The details must match your profile. The full name at the casino and on the card must be identical, otherwise the payment will go to manual review.
• Changing the method triggers KYC. If you deposited with one card and withdraw to another, the security team may ask for proof of ownership: a screenshot from the banking app showing your full name and the last digits.
• An expired or blocked card is a common reason for a request to get stuck. Check the expiry date before submitting.

What Slows Payouts Down at Card Withdrawal Casinos

Online card withdrawal casinos set up to 24 hours in their rules, and often up to 72. But the actual time is determined by four things.

1. Incomplete verification. Without KYC, the request will not be accepted at all. Identification via Diia or BankID is the fastest: from 4 min 42 s to 14 min 36 s in our tests.
2. An active bonus. Unfinished wagering blocks cashouts, and submitting a request can cancel the reward together with the winnings.
3. An amount above the internal threshold. A large payout goes to a manual AML check. At Vegas the limit per request is UAH 15,000; at Champion Club the maximum per transaction is UAH 29,900.
4. The minimum withdrawal threshold. At Champion Club it is 300 hryvnias, and instant processing starts from 500. A win below the threshold cannot be withdrawn.

Offshore Card Withdrawal Casinos

Here a card is not the main method, and often not the best one. These operators were built around cryptocurrency, and hryvnia payouts are either slow or missing altogether.

The most telling example is MelBet: an e-wallet payout completes in fifteen minutes, while a card payout can take seven business days. That is a difference of roughly 670 times within a single operator.

Reviews of these platforms are in the unlicensed casinos section. None of them holds a PlayCity permit, so if a payout gets stuck, you cannot turn to the Ukrainian regulator.

Card or Alternatives

At licensed card withdrawal casinos the choice of methods is narrower than offshore, and that is more of a plus: all routes are in hryvnias and need no conversion.

• Visa and Mastercard: the main and usually the only withdrawal method. All our tests focus on it.
• Apple Pay and Google Pay: work for deposits, but the payout still goes to the linked card.
• EasyPay and City24 terminals: a deposit method, not a withdrawal one. You cannot collect your winnings in cash.
• Bank transfer: not available everywhere and usually slower than a card.

Compare this with the offshore segment, where the main route is crypto: payouts there take minutes, but the balance is not kept in hryvnias, and the network fee eats small amounts. In this sense, card withdrawal casinos are more predictable: you know exactly how much will arrive and where.

How Much Reaches Your Card

The amount on your card is always less than the amount you requested. The reason is that licensed card withdrawal casinos act as tax agents and withhold tax automatically: 18% personal income tax plus 5% military levy, 23% in total.

So from a request for 10,000 hryvnias, about 7,700 will reach your card. This is not an operator fee or a mistake: this is how the law works, and it is exactly why a player at a licensed card withdrawal casino does not need to declare winnings on their own.

Offshore card withdrawal casinos do not withhold tax, but that is not an advantage: the obligation to declare foreign income stays with the player, who will have to do it on their own.
