Hot Fruits 20 is a fruit video slot from the Austrian provider Amatic Industries, released on March 22, 2018. It is the online version of a format that ran for decades in land-based machines: five reels, three rows, twenty fixed lines, stacked symbols and a gamble feature. The game has no bonus rounds at all.
The JoyFactory team opened the demo, checked the paytable against the in-game help menu, tested how the lines and the gamble feature behave, and compared the slot with other games in the series. Below: what actually pays in this game, why the stated return differs by two percentage points across sources, and who Hot Fruits 20 suits in 2026.

Hot Fruits 20 suits players who deliberately look for a retro machine without bonus maths: short sessions, a clear paytable and no mechanics to figure out. The main downsides are a below-market return, no free spins, and the fact that the exact RTP depends on the casino, not the provider.
Amatic Industries
Hot Fruits 20 is available in demo mode without registration or a deposit. The demo runs on play credits and fully replicates the real game: the same paytable, the same symbols and the same gamble feature.
What the demo does not show. A play-money balance gives no idea of real long-run results: in a hundred demo spins you can see both a run of hits and a total dry spell, and neither says anything about what will happen with real money. The Hot Fruits 20 demo is useful for understanding the mechanics and deciding whether you like the game, nothing more.
Also keep in mind that the RTP in a demo on a review site may not match the value set by your operator.

Hot Fruits 20 was tested by Oleksandr Petrov, JoyFactory’s casino author.
The test was done in demo mode. We launched the game, opened the help menu with the paytable, checked the multipliers for each symbol, and tested switching between 10 and 20 lines, the behavior of the stacked symbols and the gamble feature. We also compared the stated specs with data from public slot catalogs and recorded the discrepancies between them.
We did not measure hit frequency statistically. A reliable hit-frequency estimate needs tens of thousands of spins, and a demo session cannot deliver that. Where we write about win frequency, it describes how the stacked symbols work, not a measured figure.
| Paytable | Checked against the in-game help menu |
|---|---|
| Symbol multipliers | Confirmed |
| 10/20 line switching | Works |
| Gamble feature | Works, available after any win |
| Free spins | Not found: the game has none |
| RTP stated in catalogs | Sources disagree, see below |
This is the most important section of the Hot Fruits 20 review, and also the one where most sites give a figure they have not checked.
Hot Fruits 20 does not have a single fixed RTP. Amatic supplies the game with several return configurations, and the operator chooses the exact value during integration. Specialist catalogs explicitly label this slot as a game with an RTP range. That is where the discrepancy in public sources comes from:
| Base value | 95.79%, the most common |
|---|---|
| Alternative value | 95.479% |
| Higher configuration | 97.56% |
| Who sets the value | The casino operator, not the provider |
| Where to check the actual value | The game's help menu at your casino |
The practical takeaway is simple: a figure from any review site, ours included, is a guide, not a guarantee. Before playing for real money, open the slot’s help section at the casino where you plan to play and check the value there. The difference between 95.479% and 97.56% is more than two percentage points, and over the long run that adds up to a noticeable sum.
Volatility is low to medium. This means wins come regularly but are mostly small: five identical fruits pay x5 to x20 the stake. Stacked symbols that fill an entire reel increase the chance of landing a combination on several lines at once.
Even the base 95.79% is below the 96% benchmark considered the market norm for video slots. For a game without bonus rounds this is a weak figure: slots with free spins offset a lower base return with bonus potential, but here there is nothing to offset it.
The game has six regular symbols and two special ones. All multipliers below are shown relative to the total bet. A combination pays when three or more identical symbols land in a row on an active line, starting from the leftmost reel.
| Scatter (star) × 5 | x500 |
|---|---|
| Scatter (star) × 4 | x20 |
| Scatter (star) × 3 | x5 |
| Wild (seven) × 5 | x50 |
| Wild (seven) × 4 | x20 |
| Wild (seven) × 3 | x2 |
| Watermelon: 5 / 4 / 3 | x20 / x4 / x1 |
| Grapes: 5 / 4 / 3 | x10 / x2 / x1 |
| Plum: 5 / 4 / 3 | x10 / x2 / x1 |
| Orange: 5 / 4 / 3 | x5 / x1 / x0.5 |
| Lemon: 5 / 4 / 3 | x5 / x1 / x0.5 |
| Cherry: 5 / 4 / 3 | x5 / x1 / x0.5 |
The key takeaway from this table, and one that reviews rarely mention. Five scatters pay x500, which is half the slot’s maximum and ten times more than five wilds. On top of that, the scatter pays from any position on the screen, not along a line, so it is easier to land than a row of sevens.
In practice, the main source of big wins in Hot Fruits 20 is the star, not the seven. The claim that “the seven is the main symbol here” is technically true only for line wins and misrepresents the game’s real potential.
Substitutes for any regular symbol in combinations and has its own value: x2 for three, x20 for four and x50 for five. It lands in stacks, so it can fill an entire reel.
The maximum win of x1000 is paid for a full screen of sevens, when all fifteen positions are filled with wilds. This is an extremely rare event, and you should not count on it as a realistic goal.
Pays regardless of position and active lines: three stars pay x5, four pay x20, five pay x500. The scatter does not trigger free spins or a bonus round; it simply pays its multiplier, and that is the end of its role.
Offered after any win. You need to guess the color of a face-down card: a correct guess doubles the amount, a wrong one wipes out the spin’s win. It is optional: you can collect the win with a button and keep playing right away.
Mathematically, the gamble feature is neutral: the chance is close to 50% and the payout is double. It does not increase the long-term return, but it noticeably increases balance swings, so in a short session on a limited budget it is a quick way to end that session.
In Hot Fruits 20, players can choose the number of active lines themselves: 10 or 20. Twenty lines give more chances of a combination per spin, while ten halve the cost of a spin. The choice does not affect the overall return.
The bet range depends on the operator, as it varies between integrations. Public sources list ranges of €0.10 to €20 per spin and €0.20 to €100, while hryvnia casinos measure bets in credits. The exact limits are shown in the game interface after launch.
Scatter wins are calculated from the total bet, not the line bet. So when playing 10 lines, a scatter win will be half as much as on 20 lines at the same line bet.
There are at least four different games around the Hot Fruits 20 name, and sources regularly mix up their specs. If you are reading a review with a maximum of x6666 or a mention of free spins, it is not about this slot.
| Hot Fruits 20 | RTP 95.79%, max x1000, no free spins: this review |
|---|---|
| Hot Fruits 20 Cash Spins | Released 03.05.2022, different mechanics, RTP about 95% |
| Hot Fruits 20 Extra Chillis | Released 02.10.2024, RTP 96.16%, free spins, max x6666 |
| Hottest Fruits 20 | A separate Amatic game with a similar name and different maths |
| Hot Fruits 10 / 27 / 40 / 100 | The same mechanics with a different number of lines |
Of these, Extra Chillis looks more attractive than the base version on three counts at once: higher return, a bonus round and much bigger potential. If you are choosing between games in the series and the retro look is not essential for you, that is the one to look at.
Amatic Industries is integrated into the catalogs of Ukrainian operators with a valid PlayCity license, so you can play Hot Fruits 20 for real money legally without offshore platforms. This matters for this provider in particular: Amatic is a long-established European developer with certified software, and there is no reason to look for it on unlicensed sites.
We check Hot Fruits 20 availability separately from the casino ranking. The selection above only includes operators that have Hot Fruits 20 in their catalog on the date of the check. A high casino score means nothing by itself: the game may be missing at the top-rated operator and available at a mid-table one.
| Slots City | Confirmed: 11.09.2026 |
|---|---|
| SuperGra | Confirmed: 11.09.2026 |
| Gorilla | Confirmed: 11.09.2026 |
| Slotor777 | Confirmed: 11.09.2026 |
| Betking | Confirmed: 11.09.2026 |
Also worth mentioning is Betking: the slot is available in this operator’s casino section, although its main focus is sports betting. If you want a casino and a bookmaker in one account, it is a workable option.
Operator catalogs change every month: providers are added and removed, and individual titles disappear without notice. So before registering for a specific game, it is worth spending a minute to check.
The third step is the most important. Because of the variable return configuration, two casinos can offer what is formally the same game with an RTP difference of more than two percentage points, and the only way to find out is in that operator’s help section.
Hot Fruits 20 also appears at casinos without a Ukrainian license, including large catalogs such as MelBet with 226 providers or JetTon with almost 12,000 slots. Formally it is the same game. In practice, there are three reasons not to play it there.
These operators are rated on a separate scale: the safety ceiling here is about 3.0 out of 10 even with a valid offshore certificate, because no foreign license gives a Ukrainian player access to PlayCity as a dispute resolution mechanism.
The first relates directly to this slot. The operator chooses the RTP configuration, and no one can verify that choice: PlayCity does not oversee offshore platforms. At a licensed Ukrainian casino, the regulator supervises the software and stated figures; at an offshore one, nobody does. For a game with a variable return, this is not an abstract risk but a direct impact on the player’s money.
The second is payouts. The x1000 maximum is modest here, but even an x500 scatter win at a high stake pushes the amount into the range where offshore operators trigger enhanced verification. Our section on unlicensed casinos records payout limits of €5000 per month and delays of up to 45 days.
The third is the restrictions common to all unlicensed operators. They do not depend on the specific game: PlayCity does not handle complaints, self-exclusion through the state register does not apply, tax is not withheld automatically, and the minimum age is 18+ instead of Ukraine’s 21+.
For a slot with an x1000 maximum and a below-market return, nothing justifies this set of risks. If you are still considering offshore platforms, a breakdown of each one with scores and permit statuses is available in a separate section.
The full ranking of licensed operators with scores, payout tests and change logs is on our licensed casinos in Ukraine page.
A nostalgic classic with no bonus features and a below-market return. Worth it for a short session for the retro feel, not as your main game.
We rate slots on five weighted criteria, and these weights differ from the casino ones on purpose: a game has no support, payouts or app, while the maths is what matters most.
Mathematics: 5.5. The base 95.79% is below the 96% market benchmark, and the variable configuration means the actual value may be even lower and depends on the casino rather than the provider.
Win potential: 4.0. An x1000 maximum is modest by itself for a modern slot, and the condition for getting it (a full screen of sevens) makes the figure largely theoretical.
Features: 4.5. Wild, scatter and gamble feature are the whole set. No free spins, no multipliers, no accumulation mechanics.
Interface and usability: 8.0. The game’s strongest side: 11.4 MB, instant launch on low-end devices, clean controls and the option to lower the stake by switching lines.
Availability: 9.0. The slot is in the catalogs of several operators with a PlayCity license, so you can play for real money legally.
The rating was given on September 11, 2026 according to the JoyFactory methodology. Who worked on this article is listed on the editorial team page.
The base value is 95.79%, but the game has an RTP range: the casino chooses the specific configuration during integration. Public sources also list 95.479% and 97.56%. Check the actual value in the game's help menu at your operator.
No. The game has no free spins, bonus rounds, multipliers or bonus buy. The only extra mechanics are scatter pays and the double-up gamble feature. Free spins are available in another game in the series, Hot Fruits 20 Extra Chillis.
The maximum is x1000 the stake and is paid for a full screen of seven symbols. A far more realistic big win is five scatters, which pay x500 and count from any position on the screen.
Yes, the slot is available in demo mode without registration or a deposit. The demo runs on play credits and replicates the real game, but it gives no idea of long-run results.
Amatic is integrated into the catalogs of operators with a valid PlayCity license. On the date of the check, the slot was confirmed at Slots City, SuperGra, Gorilla, Slotor777 and Betking. Catalogs change, so we update the list during scheduled checks.
They are three different games. The base Hot Fruits 20 came out in 2018, has an RTP of 95.79% and an x1000 maximum with no bonus rounds. Extra Chillis was released in 2024 with an RTP of 96.16%, free spins and an x6666 maximum. Cash Spins is a 2022 version with different mechanics.
It is a personal choice. Mathematically, the feature is neutral: the chance is close to 50% and the payout is double, so it does not affect the long-term return. But it noticeably increases balance swings, and you lose the whole spin win if you guess wrong.

11.09.2026: first publication of the review. Oleksandr Petrov tested the slot in demo mode: he checked the paytable against the in-game help menu, confirmed the multipliers for all symbols, tested 10/20 line switching and the gamble feature, and confirmed there are no free spins. We also compiled the discrepancies in stated RTP across public catalogs and checked the slot’s availability in licensed operators’ catalogs. The next scheduled check is in three months, or earlier if the list of casinos offering this slot changes.
