Vavada Casino is an international gambling platform that has been operating since 2017. The operator is Vavada B.V., a company registered in Curaçao, and Magefin Ltd is named in the documents as the payment agent. The casino offers slots, live tables, fast games, table games and sports betting.

The JoyFactory team checked the legal status, the Curaçao license, domains, bonuses, game library, payment rules, KYC, the mobile experience and open complaints. We did not make a deposit: without a Ukrainian license, a financial test cannot be justified from a safety standpoint.

Vavada casino has a valid new-type Curaçao license, a large game library, a low minimum deposit and a wide choice of payment methods. This sets the platform apart from offshore casinos that still rely only on outdated sublicenses, and that is why its safety score is higher than that of operators with unconfirmed status.

At the same time, Vavada is not a legal casino in Ukraine. The operator is not connected to the state monitoring system, does not act as a Ukrainian tax agent and is not obliged to comply with PlayCity decisions on disputes with players.

What we checked at Vavada casino

The check was carried out by Oleksandr Petrov, JoyFactory’s casino author. The license details were verified by Valeriia Prykhodko, our in-house lawyer.

We did not make a real deposit or submit documents to the operator. The check consisted of analyzing the regulatory status, domains and bonus rules, and averaging specific timings from public control tests.

The key figure in this table is the 36-fold difference between crypto and card payouts. For a player, this means that the choice of payment method matters more here than at licensed operators, where the gap usually does not exceed a few hours.

We also took a problematic case into account: three requests stayed in processing for more than 30 hours, although the stated internal deadline was 24 hours. Support twice failed to name the reason for the delay or an exact completion date.

The JoyFactory verdict: the casino has a confirmed offshore license and a technically advanced platform, but the speed of financial transactions depends heavily on the method and KYC. Crypto shows the best result, while card payouts and the escalation of financial disputes are the weakest points.

License and which domain is official

Vavada.com is run by Vavada B.V., registered in Curaçao under number 143168. The operator holds Curaçao Gaming Authority license No. OGL/2024/252/0153 with Active status, issued on December 9, 2024, after the reform of Curaçao’s regulatory system.

JoyFactory lawyer Valeriia Prykhodko points out two common mistakes:

• the old number 8048/JAZ 2017-035 belonged to the previous sublicense model and is no longer the main proof of status;
• the new number is often written as CGA/2024/252/0153, but the correct format is OGL/2024/252/0153.

About the domain. The CGA certificate covers the vavada.com address. The vavada.com.ua domain is not listed in the certificate, so it is incorrect to call it the casino’s official Ukrainian website, despite the domain zone.

A Curaçao license sets certain requirements for the operator but does not give it the right to operate legally in Ukraine. In a dispute, the user cannot ask PlayCity to inspect Vavada or oblige the casino to pay out the balance.

Vavada’s formal age limit is 18+. This does not comply with Ukrainian rules, under which gambling is only allowed from the age of 21.

Verification and document risk

1. Creating a profile. You need to enter an e-mail address or phone number, create a password, and choose your country and account currency. According to public tests, this takes about 1 minute 45 seconds.
2. Choosing a currency. The hryvnia, US dollar, euro and other fiat currencies are available. Changing the main currency after registration may be impossible.
3. Passing KYC. Before a payout, the operator may request a passport or ID card, a selfie, proof of address and proof of the payment method. The average estimated time is 12 hours, and up to two days at weekends.

The casino lets you register and, in some cases, deposit without prior identification. This does not mean you will be able to withdraw without documents. KYC is most often triggered before the first large payout, after a change of payment method or in case of suspicious activity.

For a card payment, you may be asked for a photo of the card with the middle digits and the CVV code covered.

Creating more than one account is prohibited. A matching device, IP address, documents or payment details may be grounds for blocking duplicate profiles and cancelling bonuses.

We recommend not putting off verification until a big win. Still, handing your passport to an offshore operator without a Ukrainian license remains a risk in itself: the Ukrainian regulator does not control how these documents are stored.

Bonuses and VIP levels

Free spins have to be activated in your personal account. The bonus has a limited validity period, a maximum bet and a list of slots that count towards wagering.

Cashback and the VIP program

Vavada pays monthly cashback of up to 10%, calculated at the start of each new month. The exact percentage depends on the profile level, turnover and net losses; the bonus may carry its own wagering, so it is not an unconditional return of real money.

This matters more than it seems at first glance: the monthly limit at the entry levels means that a big win will be paid out in installments over several months. For a platform without a Ukrainian license, a cashout stretched over months is an additional risk.

Vavada claims more than 5000 games; older figures of around 3000 titles no longer reflect the current size of the library.

Content suppliers include Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, Microgaming, Play’n GO, Playtech, Yggdrasil, Red Tiger, Nolimit City, Hacksaw Gaming, Push Gaming, Big Time Gaming, Relax Gaming, Quickspin, ELK Studios, Habanero, Endorphina, Spinomenal, PG Soft, Amatic and other studios.

The library is split into slots, new releases, popular titles, jackpots, live games, table games and fast formats. Most slots can be opened in demo mode without a deposit.

The claim of a “high RTP across the whole casino” cannot be verified: the figure is set separately for each game and its specific version.

Live casino

The live section offers roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker and game shows streamed in real time by Evolution, Ezugi, Vivo Gaming and BetGames. There are low-stakes tables and VIP rooms with higher limits.

There is no demo mode for the live casino: to join a table, you need a registered account and funds in your real-money balance.

Fast games

The category includes crash titles, Plinko, Dice, Mines, wheels and other short-round formats. Because rounds are so fast, spending adds up much more quickly than in regular slots, so set a fixed session limit before you start.

RTP and fairness

No single official average RTP has been published for the whole library. The exact return percentage has to be checked in the help menu of a specific game.

Third-party providers use their own random number generators and certification. A well-known developer reduces the risk of the operator interfering with an individual round, but it does not guarantee that your balance will be paid out.

The website has no separate page listing all RNG certificates and the results of an independent audit of every game, so we do not accept the general promotional claim about international standards as proof that the library has been audited.

Deposits and withdrawals

Card and e-wallet deposits are usually credited instantly or within a few minutes; the bank or wallet fee can be 0.5–5%. Crypto deposits take 15–60 minutes.

About crypto networks. You need to choose the right network: USDT TRC-20 tokens cannot be sent to an ERC-20 address. A mistaken transaction usually cannot be reversed. This is not specific to Vavada but a general rule; however, without a regulator there will be no one to help you.

The 10% fee for insufficient turnover

If the deposit amount has not been wagered as required, the casino may withhold a fee of up to 10% on a card or SEPA withdrawal. The rule matters most for those who deposited but barely played: in effect, it is a charge for trying to withdraw your own money.

Withdrawals have to be made using the same method that was used to fund the account. If you change the payment details, the operator may carry out an additional check.

Vavada does not withhold Ukrainian taxes and is not a tax agent in Ukraine, so the duty to declare foreign income may remain with the user.

Mobile experience

The main mobile format is the responsive website: it automatically adapts to Android and iOS and supports Chrome, Firefox and Safari. A PWA is also offered: a home screen shortcut that opens the mobile web version.

For Android, pages linked to the brand offer an APK. Such a file can only be installed after allowing apps from unknown sources, which creates an additional risk.

We could not definitively confirm an official native Vavada B.V. app in the App Store. The stores contain apps with similar names, neutral descriptions and different legal developers. We therefore do not recommend installing an app based on the Vavada name alone: the browser version is safer.

Tournaments and promotions

The platform runs slot tournaments, daily jackpots, prize draws and personal promotions. Promo codes are sent by e-mail, published on social media or entered in the bonus section of the personal account.

There are also reload offers and a birthday bonus, the size of which depends on the VIP level and account activity. Before taking part, check the wagering, maximum bet, eligible games, validity period and maximum win.

Support

Live chat runs 24/7, including weekends and holidays. E-mail, social media and messengers are also available. Brand pages list an international phone number, +1 404 382 0303; there is no separate Ukrainian number.

Across four control measurements, the first reply time varied widely: 38 seconds, 2 minutes 30 seconds and 10 minutes twice. The average was 5 minutes 47 seconds. Fully resolving a standard question took from 6 minutes 12 seconds to 20 minutes.

The chat does not resolve financial disputes itself: the request is passed to the payments or security department, which may not give an exact time frame for its review.

There is no separate full FAQ section, so some answers have to be found in the rules and bonus terms or clarified with support.

Common complaints

The main complaints according to public sources:

• KYC is triggered after a withdrawal request, even though deposits and play were previously available without documents;
• cashout delays: card requests can stay in processing for several days;
• accounts blocked after a big win;
• repeated document requests and no specific answer from the security team;
• the 10% fee for withdrawals without the required turnover, perceived as an unexpected deduction if the rules were not read before depositing;
• low monthly limits at the entry VIP levels, because of which a big win is paid out in installments over months.

Final rating

Vavada has an active new-type Curaçao license, a large game library, hryvnia payments and a wide choice of payment methods. The rating is lowered by the lack of a Ukrainian license, blocked mirrors, unpredictable KYC, the fee for insufficient turnover, monthly payout limits and the absence of a confirmed official iOS app.

About the methodology. Operators without a Ukrainian license are rated on a separate scale: the maximum possible safety score for them is lower than for licensed operators. Vavada casino received 3.0 instead of the 0.5 given to platforms with unconfirmed offshore status precisely because its CGA certificate has been checked and is active.
