JoyFactory Editorial Team

The JoyFactory editorial team is four people who produce all of the site’s content. Every review is signed by the author who carried out the testing, and legally significant statements are additionally checked by our legal expert.

How the editorial team works

The site is split into two verticals. One author is responsible for online casinos, another for bookmakers. This split is not about convenience but about comparable scores: if payouts at different operators are tested by different people, with different cards and at different times, the scores for that criterion stop being comparable. Within a vertical, the procedure stays in the same hands.

Before publication, every piece goes through two levels of review. The editor-in-chief checks the scores against the testing protocol, monitors the dates of the last check and requires proof for every figure in a review. The legal expert checks everything related to the operator’s legal status: licenses, verification, personal data processing, advertising wording and responsible gambling requirements.

When the author’s impression and a document disagree, the document wins. If a tester rated payouts highly but the rules contain a clause about additional checks for large amounts, the score is lowered and the restriction is mentioned in the review text.

Our rules

We do not publish content under anonymous pseudonyms. Every review has a specific person behind it who registered, deposited money and requested a payout, and that person is accountable for what is written.

We do not use operators’ texts as reviews and do not give scores based on promotional materials. A score must rest on a verifiable fact: a register extract, a transaction screenshot, a clause in the rules.

Places in our rankings are not for sale. The site earns affiliate commissions, and we do not hide it: details on monetization are in our affiliate disclosure.

If you think a particular score is wrong or a piece contains an error, write to us. If you have evidence, such as a transaction screenshot, correspondence with support or a clause from the rules, we will check it and either correct the score or show you the data it is based on.
