888Starz Casino is an international platform that combines slots, a live casino, sports betting, esports, virtual events and its own 888Tron token. The main operator of the 888starz.bet domain is Bittech B.V., a company registered in Curaçao.

The JoyFactory team checked the licensing structure, Ukrainian status, bonuses, game library, payments, KYC, mobile apps, responsible gambling tools and current financial complaints. We did not make a deposit: without a Ukrainian license, a financial test cannot be justified from a safety point of view.

Platform at a glance

Technically, 888Starz is a strong product: more than a hundred providers, a full live casino, hryvnia support and mobile clients for both platforms. The platform’s rules contain no obviously unfair clauses that would allow winnings to be confiscated for an ordinary playing strategy.

The problem is not the game library but the financial reputation. For a mid-sized casino, it has piled up a disproportionate number of payout complaints, and the €5000 monthly cashout cap means a big win will be paid out in installments over several months.

What we checked at 888Starz

The review was carried out by Oleksandr Petrov, JoyFactory’s casino author. The license details were checked by Valeriia Prykhodko, our in-house lawyer.

We did not register an account, submit documents or make a deposit. The review consisted of cross-checking regulatory registers, domains, legal entities, localization, bonus calculations, payment restrictions and specific financial complaints. All times below are averages of public cases, not our own measurements.

The key figure here is not speed but the ratio of complaints to the size of the casino: 61.6% of complaints were rejected and 31.5% resolved. This, not the bonus rules, is what drives the low safety score.

888Starz scored best for its game library, number of payment methods, mobile clients and responsible gambling tools. Its weakest points are the volume of financial complaints, the monthly payout limit, lengthy escalations and the lack of Ukrainian-language support.

888Starz license and legal status

The 888starz.bet domain is run by Bittech B.V., registered in Curaçao under number 153870. The operator holds an active Curaçao Gaming Authority license No. OGL/2024/665/0201, issued on March 7, 2025; the certificate names 888starz.bet as the approved domain.

JoyFactory lawyer Valeriia Prykhodko points out that the marketing claim of three licenses needs clarification. In the Kahnawà:ke register, the 888starz.bet/en domain is listed as authorized, but the authorization holder is Starshine Global Services Limited. Anjouan permit No. ALSI-042402010-FI4 is held by MDBet Limited and covers a different domain, 888starz.com.

These are three regulatory links involving different legal entities, domains and licensing models. For the user, this means that in a dispute it is not obvious which company or which regulator to turn to.

888Starz has no Ukrainian license. The operator is not connected to the state online monitoring system, does not report bets and payouts to PlayCity and does not act as a Ukrainian tax agent.

The casino claims 256-bit SSL encryption, two-factor authentication, AML checks and random number generator certification by iTech Labs. No counterfeit game versions were found in the sample we checked, and the terms of use contain no clauses that could be classed as predatory.

Verification and document risk

1. Registration options. Phone, e-mail, Google, Twitch, social networks or one-click mode.
2. Profile details. Country, currency, name, date of birth and contacts. The hryvnia is among the available account currencies.
3. KYC. Before a payout the operator may request an ID document, a selfie and proof of address, card, wallet and source of funds.

One-click registration creates a random login and password; save them right away and link them to your e-mail or phone, otherwise it is hard to recover access.

Anonymous play is only possible until the first financial check. Withdrawals are not available without KYC, even if deposits were accepted without documents.

A standard check can be completed within a day. In problem cases, after the passport and selfie 888Starz also asks for a utility bill, a driving licence, a bank statement or a video recording of the payment wallet. In one public case, the user sent the main documents, received a request for proof of address three days later and a request for an additional document two days after that: the basic process took at least five days and was still not finished at that point.

JoyFactory advises keeping in mind that your passport, address, banking history and income data are handed over to an offshore operator that is not supervised by the Ukrainian regulator.

Bonuses

Each part of the package has to be activated separately and in the set order. The key figure is the turnover: the full €1500 at x35 wagering means €52,500 in bets, and the seven-day deadline means a pace of €7500 a day. Doing this without exceeding the $5 bet limit is practically impossible.

The $5 limit is easy to miss, especially when the account is in hryvnias. Bets above this amount do not count towards wagering or are even treated as a breach of the bonus rules.

Free Bet, cashback and 888Tron

An alternative to the casino package is a Free Bet worth 20% of the first deposit with a personal promo code for the sportsbook. The offer does not apply to crypto deposits. You cannot activate both welcome rewards at the same time.

Regular 888Starz users get reload bonuses, free spins, tournaments, birthday gifts and VIP cashback of up to 11% depending on status.

The signature feature is the 888Tron token on the TRON blockchain: users receive tokens for their betting turnover, part of the money lost goes to a Reward Pool, the stated supply is 100 million, and distribution happens once a day. The “no-lose gambling company” claim is marketing: crediting an internal token does not offset losses and does not make gambling risk-free.

Tournaments and promotions

Slot tournaments, provider races, leaderboard campaigns, reloads and free spin giveaways. On Tuesdays there may be a 50% bonus on the second deposit. Verified users receive personal gifts, VIP cashback and birthday rewards.

Before activating any promotion, check the $5 maximum bet, the seven-day deadline, the list of eligible games and the rules for paying out bonus winnings.

The number of games depends on the country, currency and provider restrictions; different versions show figures from 5000 to more than 9500. Content from 123 suppliers is confirmed, which works out at about 59 titles per provider on average.

Studios include NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Nolimit City, Hacksaw Gaming, Red Tiger, Thunderkick, BGaming, Playson, Habanero, Amatic, Endorphina, PG Soft, Amusnet and Greentube. The library includes classic slots, Megaways, jackpots, bonus buy slots, crash games, scratch cards, video poker, keno and bingo. There is search by name, sorting by provider and new-release categories; some slots can be launched in demo mode.

Live casino

Roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker, bingo, dice and game shows from Evolution, Ezugi, Vivo Gaming, 7Mojos and other studios. There are low-minimum tables, VIP rooms, localized streams and game shows with multipliers.

The availability of specific tables depends on the country. Demo mode is usually unavailable for live games: you need a real balance and a registered account.

Instant games

Aviator, Mines, Dice, Plinko, crash games and wheels. In crash games the multiplier grows until a random moment, and you have to cash out before then. Short rounds create a high turnover pace: even with small stakes, the total amount bet quickly exceeds the starting budget; see the responsible gambling rules.

RTP and fairness

No single average RTP is published for the library; it is set separately for each title and configuration. Our sample check found no counterfeit versions, and well-known providers use their own RNGs and undergo independent testing.

Software certification does not guarantee a fast payout. The main risk at 888Starz lies not in slot math but in the volume of financial complaints relative to the size of the casino.

Deposits and withdrawals

The €5000 monthly limit is the platform’s main payment restriction. A €20,000 balance will take at least four months to pay out, and €25,000 at least five, even if every request is approved without delay. On an annual basis the ceiling is €60,000.

KYC is mandatory before any payout, and the minimum cashout usually equals the minimum deposit for the relevant method. Public complaints include cases where a transaction was marked as completed but the money did not arrive for 15–16 days.

Mobile apps

888Starz has an official iOS app with Bittech B.V. listed as the developer. The app supports more than 50 languages, including Ukrainian, takes up about 217–234 MB and requires iOS 14–15 or later, depending on the version.

For Android there is an APK from the website; before installing it you need to allow apps from unknown sources. There is also a PWA that is added to the home screen and does not require downloading a large file. The mobile clients offer the casino, live games, betting, payments, bonuses, KYC and support.

Being in the App Store does not mean having a Ukrainian gambling license. The store age rating is 18+, while the legal minimum in Ukraine is 21.

Support

24/7 live chat, e-mail and an FAQ section; for disputes, [email protected]. The site is translated into about 50 languages, but the chat covers only ten: English, French, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish and Uzbek.

There is no Ukrainian-language support, even though a Ukrainian interface is available. You will have to describe a financial issue in another language, and this is exactly the situation where precise wording decides the outcome of a dispute.

Based on seven test contacts, chat quality was rated below standard: canned replies, repeated requests to describe the situation and redirects to e-mail. The chat agent cannot approve KYC or a payout, and once a request is passed to the finance department no exact time frame is given.

Responsible gambling

888Starz lets you set daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits, session time limits and reality-check reminders. Self-exclusion is available for a month, six months, a year or indefinitely via the account settings.

The 888Starz toolkit is broader than at most offshore casinos. However, the operator does not check users against the Ukrainian state register of persons barred from gambling, so a self-restriction filed through PlayCity does not apply here.

Common complaints

A public database lists 73 complaints: 23 resolved, 45 rejected, two left unresolved and three in progress. We also counted 11 complaints from other sources, for a total of 84 cases.

The main types of complaints:

• delayed or missing payouts: the transaction showed as successful, but the money did not arrive for 15–16 days;
• KYC after a big win, with successive requests for proof of address, a driving licence, statements and video recordings of the payment account;
• account closure without detailed proof of a violation: the operator cited multi-accounting or breaches of sports betting rules, although the user said they had only played slots;
• cancelled requests and repeated checks after a full set of documents had been provided.

On a public review platform, 67% of recent ratings are one star and only 18% are five stars, and the overall score is hidden due to violations of the platform’s rules and the removal of some fake reviews.

At the same time, there are positive cases with successful crypto payouts and long periods of trouble-free play. Non-payment is not a certain outcome, but the risk of a difficult financial dispute is high.

888Starz has a large game library, an active Curaçao license, a hryvnia account and well-made mobile clients. The rating is critically lowered by the lack of a PlayCity license, 73 complaints with 61.6% rejected, the €5000 monthly payout limit, drawn-out KYC and weak support.

The approach for platforms without a Ukrainian license is described in the JoyFactory methodology. The gap between 9.2 for the game library and 2.3 for payouts is the largest in this section: a case where product quality has nothing to do with whether the player gets their money.
